Economic Justice
The ACLU of Southern California seeks a society where all individuals, regardless of their socioeconomic status, can thrive and have their rights respected and live with dignity. Currently, our work focuses on ending the criminalization of poverty in California and ensuring Californians have their basic needs met with respect to housing and access to healthcare
Education Equity
The ACLU of Southern California’s Education Equity Team advocates for the rights of students in California to educational equity. Our foremost priority is to ensure that all students receive an excellent education, particularly Black, Indigenous, and disabled students, and other students who traditionally have been marginalized and under-resourced.
Gender, Sexuality, & Reproductive Justice
The ACLU of Southern California works to ensure equal access to comprehensive, quality, affordable, and confidential reproductive health care and that personal decisions about sexual activity and child-bearing are informed, respected, supported, and attainable.
We are also creating a state where women and girls are free to live, learn, and work as equals.
