Government Has Refused for Two Years to Act on Application for Medal-Winning Soldier
LOS ANGELES — Yea Ji Sea, 29, a Korean-American woman recently given an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army after four years of meritorious service, is in danger of being deported because the Trump administration has not acted upon her 2016 citizenship application. At a hearing in federal court on Tuesday (8/14), ACLU Foundation of Southern California attorney Sameer Ahmed will ask the court to order the government to issue a decision on the application as soon as possible.
