Weary commuters on their way to downtown L.A. last week got a No on 85 eye-opener with their morning coffee. Volunteers hoisted a green ACLU/SC No on 85 banner against the chainlink fence of a local overpass while thousands of cars streamed underneath. We got honks of support and thumbs up from a number of drivers. In the next three weeks, we're going to be revving up the action, criss-crossing crowded highways around Los Angeles with the No on 85 message.
We're trying to reach a million people a week between now and Nov. 7. Want to get an upper-body workout and support teen safety at the same time? Pick out a freeway overpass near you and e-mail Matt Bowles to start planning your banner day.
