Elyse Gauthier is the Manager of Board Governance and Relations for the ACLU of Southern California. She provides guidance and recommendations on best board practices to both the ACLU SoCal and ACLU SoCal Foundation Boards, and joined the organization in 2022.
Prior to joining the ACLU SoCal, Elyse worked for the Library Foundation of Los Angeles as the Executive Assistant & Board Liaison. Before transitioning into the non-profit sphere, she spent the better part of a decade working in the film industry. Elyse has a BFA in Film & Television Production with a minor in History from New York University, and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from UCLA Extension.
Elyse is also a Notary Public for the state of California.
