This May Day we marched alongside Los Angeles Worker Center Network (LAWCN) at the May 1st International Workers' Day rally and march in Los Angeles. Tens of thousands hit the streets to demand we put workers over billionaires and authoritarian power. Our advocates also attended the rallies in the Inland Empire and Kern County.
All people, irrespective of their race, gender, sexuality, religion or immigration status are entitled to fair pay, fair treatment on the job, and a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
All people, simply by virtue of their humanity, are entitled to housing and health care and to be treated as human beings with full dignity and respect.
Watch the video to see the power of community on May Day. You'll hear from our Executive Director Chandra Bhatnagar on why we march and honor the contributions of labor organizing in this country and across the world.
