Anaheim residents call for change through redistricting

Concerned Anaheim residents gathered Tuesday outside of City Hall to call on their city leaders for more representation in City Hall. Anaheim residents, represented by the ACLU, filed a lawsuit against the city of Anaheim on June 28 and this meeting was held to shed more light on it.

Civil rights groups sue U.S. for killing of Americans tied to al Qaeda

The operations killed radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, his son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, editor of a Jihadist online publication.

Cooley, Baca's silence is stunning

Reports that the Sheriff's Department and district attorney's office withhold evidence from lawyers representing inmates alleging brutality are met with silence or a dismissive comment. If you're ever unfortunate enough to find yourself accused of assaulting a law enforcement officer, good luck. When it comes down to your word against the officer's, and there are no impartial witnesses, you may end up in a jumpsuit even if you're innocent.

No More Band-Aids on Bullying

“Hey ACLU, I’m a gay 9th grader.  My teachers don’t treat me differently because of my gender expression. I have both gay and straight friends. I get to live my life without being discriminated against. I’ve never been bullied.
