ACLU SoCal seeks an education justice advocate to focus on community engagement, policy research and advocacy that will advance the organization’s priorities in public education.

Legal Fellowships

Los Angeles

ACLU SoCal seeks a third-year law student or recent law school graduate to sponsor for fellowship applications with Equal Justice Works, the Soros Foundation and/or school-funded fellowships to work on immigration and criminal justice reform issues in the Los Angeles County jails. Though not required, the ideal applicant will have a background and demonstrated interest in criminal justice and/or immigration issues. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.

Application Procedure:
Applicants should e-mail a cover letter, resume, writing sample and list of references, and should state in the subject line “Fellowship Candidate Application.” All applications must be received by July 31. San Bernardino

ACLU SoCal seeks a third-year law student or recent law school graduate to sponsor for fellowship applications with Skadden and/or a school-funded fellowship to work on education equity issues in the Inland Empire (San Bernardino & Riverside counties). Though not required, fluency in Spanish is preferred.

National Security and Immigrants’ Rights Spring, Summer, and Fall Internships

The ACLU SoCal National Security and Immigrants’ Rights Project accepts applications for legal internships on a rolling basis.

Video Production Internship

ACLU SoCal seeks competent, motivated interns on a rolling basis to work closely with its Communications Department to produce advocacy videos. This internship offers a flexible schedule ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week.

Media Relations Internship

ACLU SoCal seeks competent, motivated undergraduate interns on a rolling basis to work closely with its Communications Department to bolster press coverage.
