Your continued support of and investment in the ACLU has allowed us to rise to the various challenges of the past year, defending and advancing civil rights and civil liberties through one of the most tumultuous periods in recent memory.

Unhoused residents in Lancaster must somehow find a way to survive the harsh climate of the Mojave Desert. Instead of ensuring that all residents have access to housing and services, city officials’ primary response has been to cite and jail community members and banish them to the high desert.
