Rekha Arulanantham joined the ACLU SoCal in September 2018 as the Munger, Tolles & Olson Fellow and works on gang enforcement issues, including gang injunctions and gang databases.
Rekha has spent her adult working life a various offices of the ACLU. Before her time at the ACLU SoCal, Rekha helped protect the rights of people incarcerated across the country through her work as a Litigation Fellow the ACLU National Prison Project. Prior to law school, Rekha worked on digital communications strategy and managed ACLU National's social media accounts for three years as Digital Media Associate.
Rekha graduated from UCLA Law's Epstein Program in Public Interest Law, with a specialization in Critical Race Studies, and from NYU.
