Change happens through the power of people coming together to tackle important issues in our communities. Join our network of SoCal activists organizing and building power for lasting change.
The ACLU SoCal has long defended the fundamental rights outlined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights, including the right to freedom of speech and assembly, the right to religious freedom, due process of law, equality before the law and the right to privacy. We recognize that these rights have not been afforded to all communities – that’s why the ACLU SoCal continues fighting especially for those historically forced to the margins of our society, including women, immigrants, people of color, members of minority religions, disabled people, LGBTQ+ and nonbinary people, veterans, poor and unhoused people, people detained and incarcerated, and children in the custody of the state.
Your activism is a key component to ensuring that these rights are extended to everyone. Sign up below to join our Organizing & Power-Building program to get involved with community engagement and advocacy efforts across Southern California!
WE KEEP US SAFE
From ICE kidnapping members of our immigrant communities and the escalating number of lives lost while held in custody to the attacks on arts justice and our freedom to read, how can we keep our communities safe? Join our semi-monthly activist huddle to address this question alongside like-minded advocates, organizers, attorneys, volunteers and more.
