Zoë McKinney is a staff attorney at the ACLU of Southern California.

Zoë's work focuses on First Amendment and Democracy, with particular focus on free speech, the right to protest, government transparency, and access to government.

Zoë is a graduate of UC Irvine School of Law and Vanderbilt University. Zoë began her legal career as the Border Litigation Fellow at the ACLU of San Diego before joining the ACLU of Southern California. Prior to becoming a staff attorney, Zoë was a fellow on the Immigrants' Rights team, where she litigated impact cases involving immigration detention, immigration enforcement practices, and the termination of Temporary Protected Status for certain countries.
