Sally Chung joined the ACLU/SC in November 2012 as an Educational Justice Research Analyst. She supports the Director of Education Advocacy in evaluating the impact of Williams v. California, a statewide education equity case, and assists with ongoing implementation efforts.
Prior to joining the ACLU as a Research Analyst, Sally interned under Chief Counsel Mark Rosenbaum and Staff Attorney David Sapp beginning in 2010. As a legal intern she was closely involved in the office’s education equity docket, including Reed v. State of California and Doe v. State of California. She contributed to cases regarding juvenile justice, homelessness, and indigent defense.
Sally graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. in Black Studies.
